Nau Mai Haere Mai – Welcome to my World of Sports

Kia Ora tatou katoa i raro i nga ahuatanga o te wa. Nau mai ki tenei wharangi Hakinakina.

Kia Ora and welcome to you all. Welcome to my sports related blog.

This is my attempt at establishing myself as a sports blogger. My background is as a junior cricketer and one-time primary school rugby representative. During my time at high-school I was fortunate enough to captain various rugby teams I was a member of; St Stephens School under 15 1999 (vice-captain during the national tournament), part-time captain of St Stephens School 2nd XV 2000. I was a member of the Te Aute College 1st XV in 2001 before injury (among other reasons) led me to dropping back to the 2nd XV and I was fortunate enough to captain that side the following year.

Although I no longer play sports, I still let sports rule a large part of my life. I watch rugby, league, cricket, basketball, netball and generally any sport that Kiwis are involved in, or basically any sport that happens to prick my interest.

Olympics right now has me very excited, not the big ticket events like swimming, athletics, football, basketball etc. I get enough of whats happening in those sports on a regular basis through the media. When it comes to the Olympics, I enjoy the sports that barely rate a mention in Aotearoa, sports such as Handball, Volleyball, Gymnastics, Archery, Shooting and the like.

Heoi ano, I hope you all enjoy yourselves and I look forward to many a hearty and healthy discussion as time goes by.

Kia Ora tatou.
